After taking to the Big Apple and, “disrespecting” THE BIG APPLE, Trinidad James has put plenty of fire under a few relationships. #1 tore up about the matter – MAINO! The two went back and forth on twitter, with TJ assuming that Maino was, “going to shoot” him. Things are getting hot and heavy! The Hot 97 Morning Show got Maino on the dial for him to express his emotions on the discussion at hand. “We just wanna take him to the dentist,” Maino yelps. LOL! I think everyone does. Trinidad James has started some s**t! After doing a New York show last night, the lover of sneakers stated that down south rappers run NY! I’m all for opinions, but there is a time, place and way of saying and doing everything. One NYC rapper in particular is not feeling this! This morning I glanced at #MY twitter where I saw that Maino was really feeling some type of way about TJ’s comments and how New York responded. “S/O to all the NY niggas who let this Rotten Teeth nigga @TrinidadJamesGG disrespect us lastnite! #whathappened…” The, “What Happened” emcee then went on to tweet, “Somebody wake @TAXSTONE up tell’em this nasty mouth nigga @TrinidadJamesGG is on the menu. #whathappened.” Well, TJ got wind of these tweets and had a response, but this is Maino…he wasn’t finished. SMH: Trinidad James Goes In On NYC Rap While In NY, Then Releases Statement On Twitter
Trinidad James was tapped as the performer for Converse’s Rubber Tracks event tonight in NYC. The Atlanta rapper has always been vocal about his love for kicks and his disdain for “hypebeasts” (Yeah, he know about ya…don’t buy shoes unless they popular!), and mid-performance, began what people are calling a “meltdown” by explaining how kicks are everything he lives for. He then went on to say that ATL is basically running New York. “I’m not trying to starting nothing,” he began. “But we run y’all.” Um, not the greatest thing to say on stage in the city that you’re dissing. Naturally, people are up in arms. Now on one hand, though I don’t want to admit it, the “All Gold Everything” rapper has a point. Atlanta artists do dominate radio, even in our region, and that’s undeniable. However, who the F#CK is Trinidad one-hit-wonder James to have any say? You have one hot song, fam.
