Wait, Kanye West Calls WHO His Mentor?!

Kanye West is making his rounds at local radio stations as he hits various cities for his Yeezus tour, and his convo with L.A.’s 97.1 AMP was rather interesting. Speaking about the merch he’s selling on the road (of which he just opened a pop-up shop for next to his fiancé Kim’s DASH store,) he revealed a rather interesting “mentor” in the game: Tyler, The Creator. It’s odd (pun intended), considering Tyler is both younger than Yeezy and has been in the game for a way shorter period of time, but there is no denying Tyler’s talent, nor the success the Odd Future guys have seen with their own merch and pop-up shops. “He came in and was like, these are the principals, because he’s so talented and understands things because he went to film school,” Kanye said of Tyler. “I literally would like email and be like, ‘Can you teach me how to make videos?’ I want to learn.” Watch the interview in full below!
