Bernie Madoff Auction Bidding Gets Crazy!!
This Saturday, thousands of belongings from Bernie Madoff’s NYC Penthouse were auctioned off at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers recouping a little over $2 million! Even though that comes nothing close to the $50 billion he ripped off of his clients, the auction was packed with buyers eager to bid on some of Madoff’s most prized posessions. The highest bid at the auction was $550,000 for a 10.5-carat diamond engagement ring that belonged to Madoff’s wife, Ruth!! Ruth Madoff’s French diamond earrings fetched the next highest price for $135,000 to an undisclosed buyer and one of Madoff’s vintage steel Rolex “Moon Phase” watches sold for $67,500. Proceeds from the auction will go to fund compensating victims who lost their savings to Madoff. Karma is no joke! What goes around comes around!! While Mike and Kyle Shanahan have alreday jumped on McNabb’s case and made a mockery of him publicly for the last two weeks – they haven’t been the only ones disrespecting Donovan McNabb. Eagles defensive end Trent Cole said in a SIRIUS radio interview last week that McNabb was “not that difficult a quarterback to play against.”
Bill Clinton to be in Hangover 2!!
Former president, Bill Clinton, was spotted on the set of Hangover 2 in Thailand on Saturday. TMZ posted photos of Clinton filming a cameo on set and reported that extra security was brought in for the shoot. Before filming the cameo, Clinton spoke to Thai government officials and encouraged them to work towards policies that would cut the country’s greenhouse gas emissions. The former president also travelled to Vietnam this weekend and then to Taiwan. The “wolfpack” who starred in the first Hangover, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifinakis, Ken Jeong, and Ed Helms will also be in the sequel!! Check out the pics TMZ caught after the jump… @wendyKlucas
