NFL:(Video) Giants RB Andre Brown Fractures Leg, Could Miss Entire Season
You have to feel for Andre Brown. Last season he was on his way to having a breakout season early on, when he broke his leg and was forced to miss the entire season. He had already previously missed an entire season back in 2009 after tearing his achilles. Now last night in the final preseason game against the Patriots, he fractured his leg, which could wind up leaving him on the sidelines or without a job. He was going to be a very important part of the offense, making up a 1-2 punch with other running back David Wilson. Brown however is the better overall back, so this is a big loss. With final cuts this week, hopefully the Giants will keep him on the roster. Some doctors are saying he could be back in as little as 8 weeks, because the fracture does not require surgery. The VIP section ended up looking like a who’s who, as Vinny from Jersey Shore popped bottles at one table, MGK and his crew at another, Kevin Durant, Royal Ivey, JR Smith and more at yet another. It got heated last night at the Yankees/Red Sox game (as expected). I was watching my Giants last night, so I didn’t when this happened, but I’m still surprised that Dempster avoided an on-field punishment AND there was no retaliation (but there was payback). Red Sox pitcher Ryan Dempster threw at Alex Rodriguez three times before hitting A-Rod on his fourth try. Benches cleared and Joe Girardi was tossed. MLB: Evan Longoria Doesn’t Think Alex Rodgriguez Should Be Allowed to Play While Waiting For Appeal
New York Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez is currently appealing his 211-game suspension from the league in his PED case. During his appeal Rodriguez is able to return and play for the Yankees something that doesn’t sit well with rival Evan Longoria of the Tampa Bay Rays. Read more after the jump.
