An Amy Winehouse Biopic Is In The Works, With Producers Eyeing THIS Actress For The Lead

An Amy Winehouse biopic is in the works, and it will tell the tale of her rocky road to success, up to her tragic passing in 2011. In talks to play the soulful singer is actress Noomi Rapace, who you may remember from her breakout role in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and more recently, Prometheus and Child 44. The film’s working title is simply Amy Winehouse, and it will be written and directed by Irish filmmaker Kristen Sheridan. Music rights are often a hurdle with these biopics – hence the hold-up with the long-awaited Tupac one, but reports say producers are already in talks with Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, who controls her estate.

I never said it was bad. I never said the 2000s was better,” he writes about the music that influenced some of the greats from today. “I said I remember that era BUT I do run fades.” Hip-Hop heads from all over has an opinion, even Queens’ own N.O.R.E., and Staples was kind enough to have a response for everyone.
