Zendaya Didn’t Get Approval From Her PR Team Before Responding To Giuliana Rancic
I came across an article today that revealed that Zendaya didn’t consult her PR team before responding to Giuliana Rancic’s racist statements on Fashion Police last week, and I’m actually impressed. As perfectly classy and mature as her response was, I was almost sure her publicist had a hand in tweaking it at least a little, but nope! “Zendaya did not consult her PR team before going ahead and issuing the statement,” an insider said “It is probably better that Zendaya didn’t because she would have been advised against it!”

While critiquing Zendaya’s outfit worn to the 87th Academy Awards ceremony, Rancic made the statement, “I feel like she smells smells like patchouli oil…or maybe weed.” Honey, that did not sit well in the teen star’s book, because she read her. She read her in the most elegant of ways. Zendaya, who got the dreadlocks inspiration from Lisa Bonet – The Cosby’s – calls the the banter, “outrageously offensive” and lists down a number of successful individuals who wear the fashionable hair fashion, and do not smell like weed. “Do you know what Ave DuVernay (director of the Oscar nominated film Selma), Terry McMillan (author) … as well as many other men, women and children of all races have in common?
