GLAAD Speaks Out Against MTV for Giving an Award to Tyler, the Creator
Someone isn’t too GLAAD with MTV right about now! The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, has issued a statement addressing Tyler, The Creator’s recent win for Best New Artist at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards this past weekend. The Odd Future frontman is known for having quite a few homophobic slurs in his music and they don’t think it was very responsible of MTV to reward that. This is soooo cute! Apparently Tyler met a girl on a 2010 NYC trip and must have forgot to get the digits or perhaps lost them…and now he’s trying to get in touch with her by posting a [blurry] pic and some info. Tyler recently did a photo shoot for Interview magazine as well as quite the interesting Q&A. And why was the Q&A so interesting?? Well, because it was done by Waka Flocka! Want an example of the interview? “Waka: All right. So firstly, what do y’all think is so odd about the future? TYLER: What’s odd about the future? I think we’re all gonna die pretty soon, and the animals are gonna take over—like ostriches and shit. After breaking his foot a few months back and being stuck in a cast, Tyler is finally a free man! Well…sort of. He still has to wear an air-cast until he’s totally ready to walk on the foot again. Something he didn’t know would happen and he’s NOT happy about it. “Oh Yeah, I Went From A Cast To This Shit. Great,” he tweeted with one of the pics after the jump. “I Have Another Japan/Europe Tour In A Week. This Is Perfect.
