Today marks a year since the deadly earthquake and massive tsunami hit Japan leaving hundreds of thousands dead and thousands still misplaced. Currently there is still debris floating in the ocean from the tsunami that could pose a health risk. Penguins Being Rescued From Oil Spill
Penguins are being rescued from an oil spill in the south Atlantic. Tens of thousands of penguins are endangered and at least 300 have already died after a huge cargo ship leaked oil and soy beans into the waters near Nightingale Island on March 16th. Radioactive Water Leaking Into The Ocean
Radioactive water from the Japanese nuclear power plants is starting to spill into the ocean! According to the Huffington Post, the leak could be the reason radioactivity was found in coastal waters.
