Mike Posner was the latest guest on one of my favorite podcasts, A Waste of Time With ItsTheReal. Mike is currently sitting in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 with his surprise smash “I Took A Pill In Ibiza,” after having been out of the spotlight for nearly 5 years now. Back in 2010, Mike rose to stardom with his hit “Cooler Than You,” followed by the Lil Wayne-assisted “Bow Chicka Wow Wow.” However, after a hit album and touring the world, the Detroit native faded back into oblivion when his follow-ups failed to meet the same success. He maintained a living by writing hits for others – BIG hits too, like Justin Bieber and Maroon 5 songs – but finally, he’s back in front of the mic where he belongs.
