Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell, & Eminem Receive MTV European Music Awards Nominations

MTV’s 2014 European Music Awards nominations have been released. On the list is Nicki Minaj, Eminem and Iggy Azalea who each received four nods, and super producer, Pharrell Williams who has five. At the very top is, “Dark Horse” songstress, Katy Perry with seven nods that include categories for ‘Best Pop Artist,’ ‘Best Female Artist,’ and ‘Best Video’. Hit the jump for the nominations list.

The four artists up for the top awards are: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (up for Album and Song of the Year), Daft Punk (for Album and Record), Bruno Mars (in the running for Record and Song) and Lorde (also up for Record and Song). It’s hard to tell who is walking away with what award, with some of the names in the categories! Kanye West, who’s the best reviewed artist of the year, is not up for any major awards. French Montana Reveals ‘Mac & Cheese 4’ Will Be His Sophomore Album!

French Montana’s Mac & Cheese mixtape series is quite popular amongst his hardcore fan base, and some time ago, the Bronx rapper announced the fourth installment was in the works. In a new interview with Sowmya Krishnamurthy for Rolling Stone, he revealed that instead of another free mixtape, MC4 is actually going to serve as his sophomore album! “I’m going back to the essence on this album,” French said of the follow up to his 2013 debut via Bad Boy/Interscope, Excuse My French. “We’re giving the fans that grew up on me what they want. When we made the other music, it was just to be a little different and not do the same thing over.” He hopes to have the first single out in the next two months. Haaan!
