Nas is celebrating a whopping 20 years in the game (insane!) and XXL honored him with the cover for their November issue to commemorate the milestone. In an interesting twist, they had newbie Tyler the Creator interview the nasty one and aside from a bunch of “awkward and quirky exchanges” at first, Nas dropped some gems on the Odd Future frontman. Tyler the Creator and Pharrell hang out on Fashion Night Out in NYC at the BBC store and talk about what was Tyler doing this time last year. Tyler tells MTV2 Sucker Free that last year he was stealing stuff and selling it to pawn shops, and Pharrell gives him some advice on causing havoc at Wal-Mart. Tyler the Creator won this year’s VMA for Best New Artist, beating out Kreayshawn, Wiz Khalifa, and Big Sean. Tyler was clearly ecstatic when he won the award.
