NBA: Celtics beat Lakers in rematch of NBA Finals; Kobe scored 41 pts (tied season high)

With a spectacularly fluid performance on offense against the outclassed Lakers, Pierce and the Celtics showed some things just don’t need to be said out loud.

NBA: Final All-Star Balloting update; Kobe Bryant & Dwight Howard lead

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl & @djjuanyto Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder top the Western Conference, while Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic and LeBron James of the Miami Heat lead the Eastern Conference after the fourth returns of 2011 NBA All-Star Balloting presented by T-Mobile. Bryant, The Finals MVP last season, is the overall leader with 1,757,216 votes.


NBA: Rajon Rondo’s double-double helps Celtics win over Kings

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Paul Pierce and Ray Allen delivered the message before many of the Boston fans had shaken the snow off their boots and settled into their seats. The two healthy remnants of the New Big Three spurred the Celtics to an 8-0 lead in the first 76 seconds, and Pierce went on to score 15 points in the first quarter as Boston coasted to a 119-95 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night.


NBA: Kobe Bryant passed Oscar Robertson for 9th on NBA’s All-Time Scoring list with 26,712 pts

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant made a running jump shot with 1:11 remaining in the third quarter against the New Orleans Hornets to move him past Oscar Robertson for ninth place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. Bryant finished with 25 points in the Lakers’ 101-97 win over the Hornets on Friday and now has 26,720 points. Next on the list is Hakeem Olajuwon with 26,946 points. Top 10 after the jump…


NBA fines Celtics’ Paul Pierce $15K for throwing his gum into the stands during game vs. Pacers

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl The NBA fined Boston Celtics captain Paul Pierce$15,000 Saturday for throwing an object into the stands during Tuesday’s triumph over the Indiana Pacers. The incident occurred with 8 minutes, 2 seconds remaining in the first quarter of Boston’s 95-83 win over the Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse.
