Producers Of Tupac Biopic Sue The Other Producers

Man, things aren’t looking good for this Tupac biopic! According to The Hollywood Reporter, one production company associated with the film has filed suit against another production company that’s working on it as well – to the tune of $10 million. Emmett Furla Oasis says Morgan Creek Productions exceeded their agreed-upon $30 million production budget, as well as casted the lead (which I assume is the actor playing Pac) without approval from the rest of the production staff, and they want them to pay up! They say the issues really began after the success of Straight Outta Compton this summer. Emmett Furla Oasis alleges in the suit that shortly after the movie came out, Morgan Creek randomly asked them to prove they could pay their half of the budget, which they projected would exceed $34 million – and naturally, Emmett/Furla refused because that was violating the initial $30 million agreement.
