New Law Could Make Choking Someone A Felony

A new law could make choking someone a felony. The law is in an attempt to have stronger protection against domestic violence. Lawmakers say that when the law goes into affect the crime rate could majorly increase the crime rate for the first time in 20 years.  Before this law, choking someone was just a misdemeanor or harassment case. Brooklyn Mother Killed By Baby’s Father After Argument

A argument between a couple in Brooklyn yesterday turned deadly when ex-con Joshua Knox shot the mother of his child Jashaya Stanley 6 times. Witnesses say Jashaya punched Joshua in the face during an argument and he returned moments later with a gun. The argument recommenced and Joshua ended it by shooting Jashaya in the chest.
