NBA: ‘8’ or ’24’? The Lakers Might Retire Both Numbers For Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant will retire at the end of this season as one of the greatest players in the history of the Los Angeles Lakers franchise.  It is inevitable that they will eventually retire a number(s) in his honor.  The large debate has been whether the Lakers will retire ‘8’ or ’24’; Kobe has had amazing almost separate careers wearing both numbers so the Lakers might just retire both.

In this case though it is a pretty good reason. They just want to see him graduate and there will be no exceptions.

NBA: Despite Announcing His Retirement, Kobe Bryant Is Still Being Considered For 2016 Olympic Team

Kobe Bryant announced that he will retire at the conclusion of this season. Since the Lakers suck and will be nowhere near the playoffs, that means Kobe’s final game will be sometime in late April. That may not be his final game ever though since he is still a candidate to make the team that will travel to Rio for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
