Student Apology for SAE Racist Chant

Just in time or too little–too late? Heads have been rolling since the Oklahoma University president brought the hammer down in response to the SAE fraternity’s caught-on-tape racist chant. Now One Expelled Student from SAE Racist Chant Issues Apology, will he be embraced or nah?

In the aftermath of the Oklahoma University-SAE fraternity racist chant now heard round the world has come a suspension of the fraternity from the university indefinitely, national outrage, protests, two expulsions so far and even Waka Flocka cancelling his upcoming tour stop there. Now One Expelled Student from SAE Racist Chant Issues Apology on the situation, getting points at least for owning up to situation and saying something. Or nah?

“I am deeply sorry for what I did Saturday night. It was wrong and reckless. I made a horrible mistake by joining into the singing and encouraging others to do the same,” Parker Rice said in a statement printed by the newspaper.”

CNN and Dallas Morning News report the One Expelled Student from SAE Racist Chant Issues Apology continued in saying:

“At this point, all I can do is be thoughtful and prayerful about my next steps, but I am also concerned about the fraternity friends still on campus. Apparently, they are feeling unsafe and some have been harassed by others. Hopefully, the university will protect them,” Rice reportedly said in his apology.
