Anthony John got an opportunity to open for A Boogie & Jay Critch at #FunkFlexBirthdayBash and here’s what that looked like;

which as an independent artist that was an opportunity of a lifetime, all exposure is good exposure! Anthony John in one shot, by spending $30, grew his resume, the stage performance, and the chance to spit next to Funk Flex, which to the artists, might be the bigger prize! Here’s IFWT0006;

“Slaughterhouse , the L.O.X., Wu-Tang , some of the greatest rap groups of the 90s and early 2000s. If you had to pick your own members of your rap group who would they be? Long Island’s native Anthony John top picks were Big Sean, J.Cole, Pusha T, and T.I. Would you listen to their album ?
21-year-old Anthony understands what we mean when we say bars still matter! “It shows that you have some sort of creativity, and you actually care about the art form”. Anthony set the tone and made his presence known, rapping for the In Flex We Trust freestyle series. My first impression hearing him perform was – this guy has a flow like Eminem!
While studying Accounting at Malloy College, this senior devotes his time and energy into creating music with lyrical entendres. His biggest influences in Rap include Lil Wayne and Eminem. He praised both MCs for their technical ability and word play. “My favorite Lil Wayne project would be No Ceilings; he had all the metaphors, punch lines, bars, and just takes people’s beats and rip them apart.”
Although Anthony focuses on having bars, the majority of his time is spent appreciating R&B and Pop music. John’s dream features in R&B are the G.O.A.T.S. Usher and Chris Brown. “Usher is my third favorite artists; his vulnerability in his songs captivates me”. The goal for this MC is to sign at a label that allows him to control his originality and sound fully. He also would like to continue to push the envelope in music showing that technique is essential to this rap game. “Whatever you do, do it every day. Make sure you practice it.”
”Attention Span” is Anthony’s newest single featuring Crooked I, which is scheduled to drop on September 7th. As a teaser, Anthony will be releasing new freestyles to different Slaughterhouse beats every Friday during the month of August.
