“Right Thru Me” was one of the singles off of Nicki Minaj’s debut album, Pink Friday, in 2010. The song doesn’t have any features, as Nicki sings about a relationship with someone who seemingly knows her better than she knows herself.
In a Twitter Q&A over the weekend, Nicki revealed that the song almost had a big-name feature, but she ultimately turned them down because the song was just too personal for her. Instead, she gave this person a spot on another song on the album, “Blazin.” Guess who it is yet? Kanye West!

“Kanye REALLY wanted to get on RIGHT THRU ME. I had to beg him to change his mind,” Nicki told her fans, after revealing that she’d freestyled the hook to “Blazin” while in the studio. “I wish I would’ve obliged. But at the time it was just such a personal song to me. He really loved it. Lol. Crazy right?”
Wow, I wonder how the record would have sounded with Ye!
