J.J. Barea of the Dallas Mavericks had himself a night on Thursday without doing much to contribute to the actual game. Barea only played 12 minutes and finished with 5 points but received the loudest ovation of the night after he was ejected for basically shoving Blake Griffin to the floor.
Barea wasn’t happy with the way that Griffin was setting picks so he eventually decided to go right through him with his forearm to his throat for good measure.
It was pretty funny to see DeAndre Jordan toss Barea to the side so easily and I can only imagine what Griffin was thinking when the reality hit him that a player half his size just threw him down.
Knowing how Griffin plays, you can almost guarantee part of him falling was an attempt to flop and make it look worse because that’s what he does.
Mavericks fans, and fans around the league for that matter who aren’t Clippers fans, really can’t stand Griffin and how he plays. In case you need any more evidence of that, check out this other angle of the standing ovation Barea got after the scuffle.
