2016 saw a lot of veteran rappers drop and be successful when you talk about, Remy Ma + Fat Joe, The LOX, De La Soul, and A Tribe Called Quest. The legendary trio of Styles P, Jadakiss, and Sheek Louch now share their thoughts on ageism is the game of hip-hop as many believe this is a young man’s game.
To give you a quick glimpse of the interview, HipHopDX sat down with the trio while they’re out in LA on tour promoting their music:
“I think Hip Hop can’t be put in an age bracket,” said Jadakiss. “Rock and Roll, Country and R&B go on until they’re 75 hundred million years old. Only Hip Hop is with that. So we are breaking that. We look good, feel good and can smoke damn near all of these new rappers with no pun intended. It’s the competitive nature of the sport, you feel me?”
Check out the interview below and as hip-hop ageism becomes pretty much extinct and debunks the myth that you have to be young to be poppin in rap, what do you think about rappers aging?
