Earlier this week, accounting firm David Weise & Associates released a long email they’d sent to Young Thug’s former manager, Manny Halley. In it, they accused him of mismanaging Thug’s finances, and making multiple attempts to charge large amounts (up to $200k) on Thug’s cards for his own personal use. They told him to cease contact with Thug immediately, and blamed him for financial issues the rapper has apparently been experiencing.
According to Halley, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

The former manager of not only Thug but Nicki Minaj and Keyshia Cole as well has now filed a $50 million defamation suit against the firm, claiming THEY’RE the ones responsible for the money issues and the leaked email was simply retaliation from him attempting to fire them.
In the suit, Halley says this leaked email has ruined his reputation (which is true – this kind of thing never goes away!) and the charges in question were not personal, but yet for Thug’s private jets while on tour. He adds that the Weise company are the reason the rapper’s finances got so out of hand, and their negligence actually led to Thug’s lights and cell phone getting cut off!
I am interested to see what happens in this case, but I am inclined to believe Manny. I know he no longer works with his former artists, but there have not been money stealing claims prior to now. In fact, Keyshia even hired him back a second time!
It’s very easy to point the blame at someone else to save your own ass, and I think that’s what the accounting firm is doing in this instance. It’s even possible that their negligence is why Halley got fired in the first place, likely making Thug think that his manager was at fault for the mess and just let him go!
Let’s see how this plays out…
