So far, LeBron James Jr. has been living up to his name, following the footsteps of his father on the court, but the King says his protege is better than he was at his age. Video of the 12-year-old star playing at the 2017 John Lucas All-Star Weekend showcase in Houston this past weekend hit YouTube on Monday and it shows LBJ Jr. putting on another impressive performance, showing off his handles, court vision, and shooting ability.

It appears James’ brilliant passing ability is one of the many traits Junior has picked up from the four-time MVP.
“It’s probably the best part of his game and I grew up playing basketball, playing AAU ball and watched a lot of kids kind of hog the ball,” James said when asked about the latest highlight video. “Not pass the ball and things of that nature and I was never one of those kids. I always liked seeing my teammates excited about getting the ball and making a shot so to see him doing the same thing, it’s a pretty unique trait for a kid his age.”
“I didn’t handle the ball as well as he does,” James said about his son. “He handles the ball exceptionally and he shoots it a lot better than I did at that age, but I’ve always had the ability to pass the ball. It’s good to see him doing it as well.”
