Anthony Morrow was just traded to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday from the Oklahoma City Thunder as he was part of the deal that sent Taj Gibson and Doug McDermott to OKC. It was revealed that he was going to wear #1 for the Bulls, which of course used to be Derrick Rose’s number. Chicago fans quickly made Morrow rethink his decision.
Not only Bulls fans but Chicago media in general had warned Morrow that he might want to change his number before he gets attacked by loyal Derrick Rose fans and they weren’t playing.
So Anthony morrow is gonna wear #1 for the bulls. That's just disrespectful. pic.twitter.com/IM9czzkCVe

Those were some of the lighter examples. Plenty of fans were cursing Morrow out and it didn’t take much longer for him to let everyone know he would take care of it.
Nooo disrespect to the fans here in chicago! Had I known y'all felt like this about number 1 I swear I wouldn't have chose it. I apologize

And just like that, Bulls fans love their new guy again. Morrow didn’t play in the Bulls win over the Suns on Friday night but he is expected to play Saturday night against the Cavs.
