Martin Shkreli, the pharma bro who purcahsed Wu-Tang Clan’s album for $2 million last year, was trying to play the unheard material at a New York City event, but got shut down.
Shkreli has been promoting the event on social media, calling it “An Evening With Martin Shkreli”, which would be him lecturing at NYC’s Webster Hall about politics, investing & healthcare. Also, he described it as a listening event. According to the listing on Eventbrite, he was scheduled to play “unreleased music” from the Wu-Tang album, before the event was cancelled in it’s entirety due to threats:
