Chance the Rapper is not here for Donald Trump. Chance has recently called the President out for his comments on Chicago. As we all now he has played a huge part in being a voice for Chicago.
Trump recently tweeted that he would send the feds out there if Chicago doesn’t “fix the horrible ‘carnage’ going on.” In a recent interview for “The Undefeated,” Chance the Rapper and Chicago Bulls player Jimmy Butler spoke on the overall perception of Chicago. Chance said,
“I hope he’s coming in to do some type of federal overturn of our state and city budgets in terms of schooling and housing. I’m tired of n—–s talkin’ about Chicago like it’s a Third World country. Like, that it’s not a place of booming business with a very successful downtown and all types of new development.”It sounds like he was announcin’ he was going to war with Chicago,” Chance continued. “I don’t like to look at s— through that lens.”
He went on to speak on the challenges of being a black man from Chicago in the world today.
