In a video footage, Fontana police officers can be seen cornering and fatally shooting a legally blind and mentally ill man while at a Chevron gas station. The footage is now being looked at by Hall family attorney Mark Geragos as an “indictment” of the involved officers.
Geragos says,
“It’s a disturbing video indictment of the officers. The video puts the lie to the obviously falsified police account of what happened. In fact, this was an execution.”
Authorities claim that “the suspect was reported to be armed with a knife” and had tried to make a move on police before. The footage shows the disabled man moving between counters at the mini-mart before being shot and falling to the floor. The footage does not show the man making any moves towards the officers like they claim. In a suit that was filed by Geragos in San Bernardino County Superior Court, Hall is described as a “peaceful” member of the community who had entered the store “to browse.” The man had schizoaffective disorder and was also legally blind.
