The fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor isn’t going down but they’re having a pseudo d–k measuring contest while clowning each other in the media and on social media.
First Mayweather set his absurd terms for the fight, which is, he gets $100 million while McGregor gets $15 million and they split the pay-per-view proceeds. Then Dana White set his absurd offer which is, each fighter gets $25 million and they split the pay-per-view.
Mayweather’s offer was just to show how much more important he is than McGregor, and while that’s true, the difference between their payouts was unreasonably large. Now White’s offer is ridiculous because there’s no way Mayweather is coming out of retirement for $25 million; he made that much in one round of the Manny Pacquiao fight.
In any event, Mayweather decided to throw shade at McGregor, posting his net worth and saying he needs to be worth more than $25 million before he demands that in a fight. The amount of $2.5 million Mayweather posted is old, Forbes estimates McGregor made $22 million in 2016. But hey if you want to be petty it’s still wayyy under what Mayweather is worth.
