The New York Giants were eliminated from the NFL playoffs after the Green Bay Packers pummeled them 38-13 Sunday night. Giants’ superstar receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was a complete non-factor, finishing with 4 receptions for 28 yards, and some crucial drops. Beckham was composed during his postgame media press conference, but after that, he let loose on Lambeau Field property.
“These are the learning experiences, as tough as they are,” Beckham said. “This is what you stand on and grow from. It sucks. There is no way to put it. It sucks. It is a horrible feeling.”
“I’m sure it’s going to be a long offseason,” Beckham continued. “At the end of the day, you just have to take it and you have to grow. You have to learn from it and find ways not to have this feeling again.”
After the presser, OBJ’s emotions took over.
Grounds crew members told ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio that they heard someone hitting the wall outside the crew’s locker room at Lambeau Field, which is located adjacent to the interview room where Beckham had just spoken with reporters. When grounds crew members came out of the locker room, they saw Beckham and the hole in the wall.
Paolantonio said Beckham then banged his head against the door outside the Giants locker room.
NFL security is investigating the incident.
