A week ago now, Amanda Nunes shocked many people with her total dominance of Ronda Rousey, forcing the ref to stop the fight just 48 seconds into it. Social Media had a grand time at Rousey’s expense and Nunes was not shy about rubbing the victory in her face. Nunes has since doubled down on her trash talk of Rousey, telling TMZ “I don’t know how Ronda Rousey [went on] to win this division.”

“I don’t understand how those gals lost to Ronda Rousey.” She added: “I knew since my first fight in the UFC I could beat Ronda Rousey.”
She even went on to claim that she had to train harder for previous fights compared to her fight with Rousey.
“UFC made this happen. They put her in a place she’s not at. I [knew I could] beat Ronda Rousey since I saw her first fight.”
Nunes is entitled to talk all she wants. The way Rousey just walked off after catching that beat down and being a sore loser was worse than losing the fight itself. It might be time for UFC to consider putting their money behind Nunes and make her the new female face of the sport, especially considering Rousey made $3 million dollars for that fight and Nunes only made $200K and was clearly the better fighter.
