23-year-old Isaac Duran Infante, was arrested and charged for the murder of Miguel and Felicia Barahona.
Infante confessed to killing his ex-girlfriend in her Harlem home. He then strangled his 4-year-old son who walked in on him committing the crime. The boy was in the bathroom when Isaac Infante was standing on top of his mother. He went on to strangle the little boy and then placed him into the bathtub.
Infante is now facing two counts of first-degree murder in the double homicide. He openly admitted to entering the apartment on Christmas night with the intention of murdering his ex-lover. This is super sick! Authorities found her body with a telephone cord wrapped around her throat. The superintendent at Barahona’s apartment noticed a stench coming from her apartment. He took a peek in the fire escape to find her body on the floor. They then found the little boy face down in the bathtub. About 10 people called the police about the smell. Infante actually left the door unlocked as he fled the apartment. Cameras captured him coming into the apartment and leaving three hours later. He even turned himself in to police. Authorities claim the reason Infante committed the crime was the fact that he was angry about paying child support for the boy fathered back when he was a student in Barahona’s science class at DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx.
