Drake ties his label boss’ record for most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Like Weezy’s unstoppable run in the late 2000s, Drake has had his own streak the passed couple years. It only makes sense he ties Wayne’s record for most songs to chart on the Hot 100 list. Wayne boasts 132 records and Drake has just tied that, with being featured on “Both” from Gucci Mane’s latest album The Return of East Atlanta Santa, which saw the track debut at 41 this week.
This is also with many of Wayne’s mixtape songs not being eligible to chart because they were put out for free at the time, but of course things have drastically changed with streaming. Imagine what that number would be if those classic Weezy mixtape songs charted? I wouldn’t be writing this right now.
