2016 takes yet another one before the year is over. Comedian and actor Ricky Harris died of a heart attack last night, as confirmed by his family on social media. He was only 54!
Many hip-hop fans know Harris for his skits on various tracks from the 90s, including the crazy club owner in Snoop Dogg’s “Doggy Dogg World” video, a radio host named DJ EZ Dicc and Saul-T-Nuts on WBALLZ radio on Snoop’s “Aint No Fun (If The Homies Cant Have None)” and more. He has also had countless TV and film roles, including Poetic Justice, Heat, Everybody Hates Chris and more recently, Dope and The People Vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. He also had memorable appearances on Def Comedy Jam and BET’s Comic View.
