Lamar Odom checked himself into rehab but it’s not because his divorce from Khloe Kardashian is almost final, well that’s not the main reason. Odom reportedly checked into rehab out of fear he would go on a drug binge as his deceased son’s birthday approached.
Odom’s son, Jayden, was born December 15, 2005, but died the following June from SIDS. According to TMZ Sports, the death of his son was the primary reason he started doing hardcore drugs, and he was aware the birthday might push him over the edge again.
Sources say Lamar went to a San Diego area facility late last week. Lamar is also struggling with the fact his divorce from Khloe will be final on Saturday, and he didn’t want to be tempted to use.
Odom is shooting for a 60-day rehab stint. He left after three weeks when he attempted rehab in 2012.
