Amidst the tracks back and forth from J. Cole’s “False Prophets” to Wale’s “Groundhog Day”, people really didn’t know where Wale and J. Cole stood as friends. The tracks weren’t quite diss tracks, but more like a conversation back and forth. Seems like those questions are answered when they were seen at the game together yesterday.
What got lost in translation in J. Cole’s track was the second verse directed at Wale. So people were slightly confused until they listened again and found out, hence Wale’s track back. It was all light hearted though when Wale said on the track he would see him at the Boston University vs NC State basketball game and sure enough they were at the game together.

Maybe this might be a start of a new trend in hip-hop of some good lyrical sparring. I all for it because both records were great.
