Ice Cube is one of the most successful people from the hip-hop industry. He’s been successful as a rapper, actor, entrepreneur, and now he just inked a huge deal for his production company! Cube Vision might be on it’s way to doing major things really soon.
Cube Vision is Ice Cube’s production company and he just signed a big multimedia deal with 20th Century Fox and Fox 21 Studios. According to the deal, Ice Cube and his team will be executive producers on several project spending several genres; comedy, reality, drama, animation, and specials.
“I’m very happy and excited to work with the talented and creative people at Fox,” Cube said in a statement. “Their ability to bring groundbreaking television of every type through both cable and broadcast makes them the perfect partner for Cube Vision.”
If you remember the show a few years back on Vh1 called “Hip-Hop Squares”, he’s brining that back with a new spin on it named “Hollywood Squares” next spring along with a new movie “Fist Fight” coming in February. So you can say he has his work cut out for him to say the least.
The CEOs and Group Chairmen of Fox Television Dana Walden and Gary Newman had rave reviews about Cube and explained why they can’t wait to work with him.
“It’s hard to think of a more multidimensional artist than Ice Cube, whose influence on the culture and enormous talent is virtually unrivaled,” they said in a joint statement. “He’s a performer, a songwriter, a recording artist, an actor and a filmmaker, and his work speaks to a broad, multigenerational audience. We’ve been dying to be in business with him for years, and we think the combination of Cube and his incredibly talented producing partner Jeff Kwatinetz is going to result in some very compelling television.”
