A suspect is now in custody after a man took 11 hostages while at a local bank in Jacksonville, Florida. Officers responded to a call that shots rang off inside of the bank and someone was possibly injured. Officials have now confirmed that no one has been shot.
The sheriff’s office says,
“The suspect who tried to rob the bank is contained inside the bank. We know multiple people are inside the bank but we haven’t been able to verify if someone has been shot.”
They also went live via Periscope to share details of the encounter. The story is currently still developing.
