The man responsible for the truck crashed that left Tracy Morgan severely injured has now struck a deal to avoid jail time. Kevin Roper has plead guilty to vehicular homicide and 4 counts of aggravated assault. Not only was Morgan injured in the crash but he lost his best friend James McNair.
The driver had been awake for a full 24 hours when he crashed into Tracy Morgan’s limo bus on the NJ Turnpike. Roper will be required to enter a 3-year intervention program that includes 300 hours of community service. If he stays out of trouble after that, the charges would be dropped and he will be a free man. The judge has not yet signed off on the deal. This news has came a week after Walmart decided to reach a settlement with its insurance company.
