ABC News is now catching heat for faking a crime scene. Crazy, because they are suppose to be a credible source for news. This truly may damage their reputation. Friday morning, Linsey Davis was suppose to be reporting live from a South Carolina crime scene where a woman was allegedly held captive in a storage container by a sex offender.
The crime scene was actually faked using a TV prop to make it look like she was in front of the real crime scene. There was yellow tape that was tied to production equipment to make it look like Davis was reporting right from the scene of the investigation. The segment was even aired on ‘Good Morning America.’ CNN got hold to the mockery. ABC is now putting all blame on the field producer. They said,
“As soon as it was brought to our attention, we decided to take the producer out of the field and we’re investigating further.”
ABC News’ VP of Communication says,
“This action is completely unacceptable and fails to meet the standards of ABC News,”
Davis has been on a roll this week with the headlines. She is also the woman who interviewed Lil Wayne.
