Over the summer, Ice Cube got fans of the Friday franchise excited, saying that there is a possibility there could be another sequel in the near future.

“We had a meeting,” Cube tweeted. “Can’t do Last Friday unless we can do it right. Ball is in New Line Cinema’s hands. Bat is in mine.”

Global Grind’s BlogXilla recently spoke with the film’s other star, Chris Tucker, on set of his new film Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, and had to ask if he’d be down to participate. The answer may not be what fans want to hear.

“I was flipping through the TV and I was watching Friday. It was a moment in time, and I was a young kid and I was laughing through the whole thing too and I was proud of that – making myself laugh. I don’t know if we can do another one. I don’t know if I can do another one because I was so young and it was a moment in time, but we’ll see.”
