Mary J. Blige is currently going through a divorce with her husband of 12 years, Kendu Isaacs. Though Kendu managed her career for a long period of time, he says that Mary is the breadwinner, and he deserves to be compensated monthly.

In newly-filed docs, Kendu is requesting $129,319 per month. He says he’s “used to the lavish lifestyle” and needs to continue living it. He also adds that he earned anywhere between $1.5 to $5.1 million over the last 2 years as her manager, but makes no money now that he’s not working with her any longer.

While the former couple did have a prenup, he’s now saying it’s not valid because he signed it without a lawyer. Mary has reportedly already sent him two checks worth $85k, which Kendu says proves she knows she’s in the wrong.
