Robert Griffin III’s estranged wife, Rebecca Liddicoat, has finally responded to his divorce petition and already made her first demand; she wants him to pay for her legal team.
Liddicoat was married to RG3 for three years, and they have a one-year-old daughter together.
Griffin filed for divorce, saying they do not get along and there’s no hope for reconciliation. He met his new girlfriend, Florida State track star, Grete Šadeiko in January. Griffin and Liddicoat separated in April, shortly after finding out about his new girl. They haven’t lived together since but Liddicoat still says she was blindsided by the divorce petition.
Liddicoat finally filed her response to his divorce petition in Texas last week. According to TMZ Sports, in the docs, she doesn’t go into specifics about child custody or shared property, but denies everything he said in his petition.
Liddicoat also says Griffin should pay for her lawyers, most likely because he was the breadwinner in the relationship. She says she needs attorneys to ensure she gets her share of their assets and a fair custody arrangement for their daughter.
