Now that Kobe Bryant is retired, all of his memorabilia is worth much more, even his face mask.
Bryant’s game-worn protective face mask has just hit the auction block.
During the 2012 All-Star game, Dwyane Wade fouled Kobe really hard and broke his nose, forcing Bryant to wear the clear face mask to protect his nose. Goldin Auctions got ahold of the mask, which comes with a letter from a member of the Lakers training staff that Kobe used during games in February and March of 2012.
Bidding for the mask closes on October 29th. Now I’m sure plenty of people are interested, but you better have bank because the auction house tells TMZ Sports the mask is expected to sell for over $50K!
