Singer Kehlani recently did an interview at Power 106’s ‘The Cruz Show’ in Los Angeles. While there, she spoke on her debuting album, being 21 in Las Vegas and partying with Bryson Tiller, going through heartbreak, and more.
With the recent release of her singles just put out, she said ‘its almost here. Kehlani says,
“I’m definitely in the last part of it. I’m in the final run. I’m doing all the tweaking and bringing in people to give me opinions. I’m putting together the final track listing—even thinking of track listings—and now plotting on artworks and things like that.”
She spoke on her relationships with PND and also Kyrie Irving.
“I’m strong enough to thank God to be able to talk about it in a positive way and only push forward in an inspirational way. I think it was a combination of things. It was one, the response was insane. Two, I was a 21-year-old going through the biggest heartbreak of my life. So on top of it, being a public, very scary thing with that, I’m hurting y’all. I’m going through heartbreak. This is a young woman who is dealing with a guy. On top of all that, it was that. It was really recovering from all these things at once.”
Earlier this year, Kehlani was hospitalized after she tried to commit suicide. Kehlani says it is still very tough for her still.
“It was tough. It’s still tough. It’s an everyday, day by day [thing]. It’s not too much that can hurt me now. I used to be very easily hurt, and now I’m like, ‘Please unleash it all on me, I bet I am going to be unfazed as hell after you stop talking.’”
