There has been quite a divide between the newer generation of artists and more established ones in recent months, following the rise in popularity of rappers like Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert and more. The issue has stemmed from comments from the young newcomers, who have refused to freestyle over classic hip-hop beats and – in the opinions of some – have mocked the culture that pays their bills.
