The NYPD is saying that Desiigner’s legal team is full of it for claiming that he was targeted because he was black. They said he was arrested because he committed a crime.
An official for the NYPD states Desiigner and his team can not possibly play the race card due to the fact that the 911 caller was hispanic. The official states,
“There was a male Hispanic complainant who said he was menaced with a black firearm from individuals in the car. There was no targeting of him because he was black, NYPD arrested him because he committed a crime.”
Desiigner’s reps are claiming this is a matter of trying to keep a successful young black man down.
