Ted Cruz referred to Colin Kaepernick as a “rich, spoiled athlete” who doesn’t recognize what an incredible blessing this country is, as he’s taken a stand and protesting the national anthem. Cruz also blasted President Barack Obama for supporting him.
Cruz once again brought up that his father is Cuban and was imprisoned and tortured there. He says America has meant ‘hope and freedom’ and he is disappointed in Obama for standing with Kaepernick and saying it’s right to disrespect the flag.
Cruz says that’s not the job of the president, the president should be standing up for America; he should be encouraging people to honor the flag.
His stance was pretty obvious and expected.
