In case you’ve been under a rock for the last couple of weeks…49er Colin Kaepernick had decided to protest injustices to African American people by not standing for the National Anthem at football games. There has been quite the bit of drama behind it too. Today though, President Obama took a stance from China where he’s working on national security issues.
The president respects Kaep’s constitutional right though he may also have a soft spot for the veterans that fight daily for our flag. Remember though #Veterans4Kaepernick…not all veterans see it as disrespect.
I’d rather have young people who are engaged in the argument…than have people sitting on the sidelines not paying attention at all. – President Obama
