Dreams have just come true for Kehlani. The 21-year-old Oakland songstress has been announced as the opening act on select dates of Lauryn Hill‘s upcoming MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling! Tour, alongside Nas as well.
Kehlani has long been a fan of Lauryn, even tattooing her face from the cover of The Miseducation on her arm.
“if you know me… you know this happens to be the most special thing has ever happened to me,” Lani said. “Thank you Ms. Hill, thank you God.”
Noname and Little Simz will also be on the tour, though none of the aforementioned acts will be on every date. Kehlani will join the shows in New York, San Francisco (her hometown crowd) and Seattle, while Nas will join the ladies in both SF and Seattle as well. The full run will feature sets from Seun Anikulapo Kuti, Paul Beaubrun and the Soul Rebels on every show.
