Ishmael Zamora who was recorded horribly beating his dog a few months ago was given part of his punishment today.
The 6’4 WR was handed down several layers of punishment for abusing his dog. Community service, a three-game suspension, counseling, and finally he must give his dog up for adoption.
According to Baylor:
“Our football program does not condone this behavior by anyone,” Baylor interim Head Coach Jim Grobe said. “We are deeply saddened by it and have worked together with the University to hold Ishmael accountable for his actions.”
According to Zamora:
“will never, ever, happen again…I truly love my dog, however, I know that my actions showed differently and I know that I made a big mistake.”
Hopefully the puppy is ok and with a loving home now.
