Just about everyone has been giving their opinion on Colin Kaepernick choosing to sit during the national anthem, including his former coach Jim Harbaugh. Kaepernick played his best professional football under Harbaugh when he was the coach of the San Francisco 49ers. Harbaugh is now the coach at Michigan and says he doesn’t respect Kaepernick’s form of protest, nor his reasons for doing so.

“I acknowledge his right to do that, but I don’t respect the motivation or the action,” Harbaugh said today.
This Kaepernick’s “motivation.”
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
“People don’t realize what’s really going on in this country. There are a lot of things that are going on that are unjust. People aren’t being held accountable for. And that’s something that needs to change. That’s something that this country stands for, freedom, liberty and justice for all. And it’s not happening for all right now”
So Harbaugh doesn’t respect Kaepernick standing up for equality, to stop the oppression and police brutality against black people?
But Harbaugh loves to pander to black people when he’s tweeting out Drake songs, on stage at the Migos concert, or wearing Iverson jerseys and inviting rappers over. Yea coach Harbaugh, good luck with your black recruits; I hope they think long and hard about how you feel towards the quality of their lives.
UPDATE:
Jim Harbaugh’s backtrack came rather quickly. It actually came as I was writing this post. He took to his Twitter account and said he DOES support Kaepernick’s Motivation but not the action. Yea ok…
